English-Speaking Commonwealth
Originally composed in December of 1931 by the UK and former British colonies as a strategic security alliance, the Commonwealth has now grown to some 54 member states (see below for a list of member states). Every year there is a Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in a roundtable summit, just before which the heads of the member states' intelligence agencies and/or internal security forces meet to discuss emerging threats. The Commonwealth is headed by a Secretary-General.
